The unit will feature rooms designed for patients’ needs and it will have a 24-hour staff for holistic care that aims to combine medical care with the comforts of home.

The new facility is dedicated in memory of Reverend Harry Johns III, a former chaplain of the Visiting Nurses Association of Erie County.

“He dedicated his life to serving our community. And he’s been a main staple for VNA Hospice for a long time. So we want to dedicate this unit to his name,” said Dr. James Lin, president of the LECOM Institute for Successful Living

The unit is currently accepting new patients.
