Heavy snow brings rough driving conditions, shoveling and cold weather, but it also means it’s time to dust off the skis and snowboards.
While many are still recovering from the intense winter storms, others are making the most of the heavy snow on the slopes this weekend.
“What’s your favorite part about being out here on the slopes in the snow?” We asked the Knopp brothers from Mercer County.
“Going fast.” “Yeah, probably going fast,” they answered.

After several days of heavy snow in the region, Peek’n Peak resort in Clymer, New York is kicking off its opening weekend.
Hundreds of skiers and snowboarders traveled to the ski resort to take advantage of the fresh snow.
“Man-made snow is great, but to have 5 feet of natural snow, you can’t beat that. Our only wish is that we would have had a little more time to get more trails open. We were able to open with 14 trails, and that’s more than we opened in the last 2 years combined,” said Tom DeKoning, director of mountain operations.
