Saturday evening, Downtown d’Lights will shine in Perry Square.

This holiday tradition includes a visit from Santa, horse carriage rides, free hot chocolate, and of course, the big countdown to light the tree at 6:15 p.m.
The event had to be postponed due to weather conditions, but officials said they are now all set to go.

“It takes about two weeks to get the decorations up. We had about a week done before the storm. Postponing it a week gave us the best chance to have this event in the safest way possible cruise have been working with the city cruise to clear the park this week. We were able to get the tree up and lay all the electric wires and everything that it takes to coordinate the lighting of the park,” said Dave Tamulonis, events & marketing manager, Erie Downtown Partnership
