Temperatures rising around the aread as winter weather advisories remain

Although WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES remain in effect until noon for Erie and Crawford through noon and Warren County throughout the day into 4 AM Monday, temps. have already risen above freezing in Erie, but are around freezing in Meadville and other areas inland and to the east.

You can see the pink on radar and that would be where there is the potential for some pockets of light freezing rain or drizzle late this morning or early this afternoon.

Temps. are expected to rise this after in the I-79 corridor from Erie to Meadville with mainly rain showers overtaking Erie and any mixed frozen precipitation in inland areas to the south of I-90 turning to showers and rain.

To the east in Warren County and the mountains (where you see the pink and white on the radar), winter weather advisories continue through 4 AM Monday where the wintry mix can hang on longer today into tonight and cause more problems.

Be careful and use common sense traveling this morning as conditions improve in Erie and Crawford Counties shortly, but much improve more slowly to the east.
