Card collectors of all kinds add to their collections at Zem Zem Shrine Club

Collectors and sports fans gathered in Millcreek Township on Sunday in search of a new addition to their collection.

30 Vendors set up tables at the Zem Zem Shrine Club Sunday for a card show offering customers a variety of sports cards, Pokemon cards and other collectible items.

Hundreds of customers came to the club on West 38th Street to look for a new piece for their collection.

And among the thousands of cards for sale at the show, the event organizer said one card has specifically been on people’s minds.

“The TOPS Chrome update, the baseball with the Paul Skenes 1 of 1, that’s still out there, so the Pirates are offering 30 years of season tickets and all that, so we’ve sold a ton of those,” said Michael Brown, the card show promoter.

And for the lucky collector who pulls the Skenes rookie card, the Pittsburgh Pirates are also offering a meet and greet with the pitcher himself.
