The 60th annual Barber Christmas ball took place at the Bayfront Convention Center on Saturday evening.
This year’s theme was “A Diamond Christmas”. The senior vice president of the Barber National Institute said this is one of their largest fundraising events.
He said the money raised will be used to buy equipment to care for adults and children with intellectual disabilities and autism in Erie and across the state
“We’re going to be just north of 1,000 guests tonight we have 57 sponsors and their sponsorships were just over about $160,000 and we’re just so grateful for everyone in the community that stepped forward to help make this thing a real success,” said Patrick Barber, senior vice president of the Barber National Institute.
Barber said the ball is all about fun with dancing, hors d’oeuvres, and a chance for the community to gather and enjoy holiday festivities.
