ERIE, PA – Melting snow continues with relatively mild air on Monday, with temperature readings in the lower half of the 50s. The winds become gusty through the day, with a brightening sky at times, before a wave of rain arrives late in the afternoon into Monday evening.
The winds will remain gusty Monday night into Tuesday with slightly colder and drier weather returning through Tuesday. Expect readings in the low-to-mid 40s in the morning, then slowly falling temperatures through the afternoon.
Light rain and wet snow arrive on Wednesday with no major issues, as temperatures remain well above freezing with readings in the lower half of the 40s. The weather pattern turns colder again by late week with light snow at times.
At least some minor lake-effect snow showers will be around on Thursday morning, followed by a cold front on Friday, with more light snow and lake-effect snow showers. Early indications are that snow amounts will be small.
