The man struck by a utility truck last week on Erie’s east side has died in the hospital.
That accident happened last Wednesday, December 11 at the intersection of East 12th and Reed Street around 5:30 p.m.
Pedestrian hospitalized, in critical condition after being struck by cable truck
According to police on the scene that day, a Spectrum cable truck struck a 49-year-old man.
Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook identified the man as Steven Bellisario of Erie.
Bellisario was hospitalized that day and passed away at UPMC Hamot two days later on December 13. Cook said the victim never regained consciousness in the hospital.
The death was ruled accidental due to severe head trauma and multiple blunt force trauma.
