Woman accused of supplying drugs that caused the death of a Millcreek Township woman

Millcreek Township police said they used phone records and surveillance video to identify a woman accused of supplying drugs that caused another woman’s death in the township in May.

Rebecca L. Carr, 27, whom police listed as homeless, was arraigned Thursday afternoon by North East District Judge Scott Hammer on felony counts of drug delivery resulting in death, possession with intent to deliver, and criminal use of a communication facility in the death of a woman at a Millcreek residence on May 12.

Carr was placed in the Erie County Prison on $275,000 bond following her arraignment and is tentatively scheduled to appear in court for her preliminary hearing on Dec. 30, according to court records. A lawyer for Carr was not listed on her criminal docket sheet Friday.

The 39-year-old victim was found dead on May 12 at a residence in the 3000 block of West 12th Street after Millcreek police officers were called there to investigate a reported overdose, according to information in Carr’s criminal complaint.
