( WJET/WFXP ) — A North East woman and two others are facing criminal charges after a traffic stop in Chautauqua County uncovered over a half point of methamphetamine, 71 grams of other narcotics and more.
According to Dunkirk Police, officers pulled a car over around 9:43 p.m. on Dec. 17 for an alleged traffic violation which led to them finding “a significantly large amount of narcotics, paraphernalia, and two illegally possessed pistols.”

In total, police said they found over half a pound of meth, 71.1 grams of fentanyl, mushrooms, narcotic pills and various amounts of other unknown powders along with an unspecified large amount of cash, scales, and a large amount of packaging material in the car and on the three occupants.
Police said both pistols were loaded, one of which was reported stolen out of Jamestown, NY, and several more rounds of ammunition were found in the car.
The three people in the vehicle have been identified as 26-year-old Melinda J. Monroe of North East, PA; 36-year-old Mark C. Baker II of Tonawanda, NY; and 44-year-old Dennis W. Topliffe of Portland, NY.
