Two vehicles were heavily damaged after a crash on Erie’s east side Sunday evening.
Crews were called to the intersection of East 21st and Ash Street around 6:05 p.m. for a two-car crash with one vehicle hitting a pole and then a nearby house while the other suffered rear damage.

According to a witness, roads had to be closed for several blocks surrounding the crash while crews investigated.
Erie Police said a few people were taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries but couldn’t offer an exact number.

No word yet on any damage to the house and police continue to investigate.
