After weeks of slowly marching lower, the national average price for a gallon of gasoline has reversed its course. According to AAA, Monday’s average is $3.04, which is nearly two cents higher than last Monday. New York State’s average ticked downward by a fraction of a cent and is now $3.13. Meanwhile, Chautauqua County saw a noticeable drop in its average price at the pump, falling 11 cents to $3.27. One year ago, the national and statewide averages were $3.13 and $3.39, respectively.
