Shipping services working to get Erie customers their gifts in time despite delays

Shipping services around the region continue to scramble with deliveries just days before Christmas.

Christmas is only two sleeps away but some people still haven’t received their packages in time for the holiday.

With the holidays just around the corner, some people haven’t received all their gifts yet, and time is running out.

Online shopping has become a popular way to buy Christmas gifts but what happens when those presents don’t make it in time for the big day?

That’s what a lot of people have been asking as they say FedEx has been struggling to deliver holiday packages on time.

“I’ve heard pretty much everybody I know is thinking about driving to Ohio to get their packages because everything is stuck at those hubs, but I think people are just kind of praying it shows up at this point,” said Carol Dabrowski, a holiday shopper.

And while some are taking matters into their own hands to get their gifts in time, others have been a little more fortunate.
