Water restrictions lifted for Village of Sinclairville

( WJET/WFXP )– The Village of Sinclairville in Chautauqua County, New York has lifted its mandatory water conservation that was put in place Saturday.

The advisory was first issued Saturday evening after a crash on Route 60 caused a tanker truck to spill gasoline on the roadway and potentially contaminate the main wells nearby.

Those wells have since been cleaned and are back up and running.

Officials said two wells will be monitored frequently for the next few months to ensure the water quality hasn’t been affected.
