Erie police charge 3 in attempted home-invasion robbery where gunshot fired

A reported attempt by three people to collect some cash and marijuana before Christmas landed them in jail after Erie police said the victim of an attempted home-invasion robbery fought off his attackers on Dec. 22.

The three suspects — Domynick C. Naylor, 37, Nataesha D. Naylor, 19, and Anthony Z. Myers Jr., 24 ― were each arraigned Monday on charges including felony counts of robbery and aggravated assault. Domynick Naylor was additionally charged with felony counts of discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure and carrying a firearm without a license after detectives accused him of firing a gunshot during the incident.

Domynick Naylor was placed in the Erie County Prison on $100,000 bond, Myers was jailed on $50,000 bond and Nataesha Nayor’s bond was set at 10% of $50,000, according to court records. Lawyers for the three were not listed on their criminal docket sheets Friday.

Erie police accuse the suspects of attempting to rob a man at a residence in the 2200 block of Kilpatrick Avenue on Dec. 22 at about 11:30 p.m. Officers who responded to the residence after it was reported that someone was shot learned the victim was not shot, but a gunshot had been fired inside the residence, according to information in the criminal complaints filed against the suspects.
