Local kids learn about winter weather thanks to ExpERIEnce Children’s Museum

Kids were making the most of winter break at the ExpERIEnce Children’s Museum.

The “School’s Out Stay and Play” event gave kids the chance to spend the day at the newly renovated museum while also learning about the science behind winter weather.

Kids were treated to story time as well as several STEAM activities and also given time to explore the museum.

“So this older age range actually, is a full day-long camp that has different math and STEAM programming. This one is in December, so it’s all about snowflakes and the math and science of snowflakes. But really it’s a way to spend the day when you have off school, and, maybe parents or caregivers are working and are not sure where to send their kid or what to do with their kid. This is a great way that they can have fun, they can learn, and you don’t have to worry about them while they’re at work,” said Wickline, director of marketing and community relations at the ExpERIEnce Children’s Museum.
