Firearms safety training highlights gun ownership responsibilities

Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms, or LTC, held a training course at Sportsmen’s Warehouse.

It’s a four-hour course to teach the rules, regulations, guidelines and responsibility that comes with gun ownership.

The instructor said it’s always best to obtain training before going out in the real world.

“In Pennsylvania, we are a shall-issue state so it is a requirement that you go to the sheriff’s office, file an application and you have to do all of that and receive the Pennsylvania concealed carry permit before you do so. But there are rules. There are places where you can carry and can’t carry,” said John Patterson, a firearms instructor at Legal Heat.
