Each month Chautauqua County sends health code inspectors out to restaurants and other spots with food preparation. These inspectors have the job of trying to keep us safe. They thoroughly review each restaurant’s operations to ensure they are not violating any health codes. Health code inspectors report on violations such as “Food contact surfaces not washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any time of operations when contamination may have occurred,” and critical violations like “Critical Violation [RED] Water/ice: unsafe, unapproved sources, cross connections.”
