( WJET/WFXP )– Over 1,000 Penelec customers are without power Wednesday morning in Erie County mostly in Summit Township.
According to Penelec’s Live Outage Map , 1,396 people do not have power as of 12:02 p.m. with 1,201 being in Summit Township.
Within Summit Township, 1,023 outages are in the area south of Interstate 90 between Oliver Road and Route 19 (Peach Street).
Penelec said crews have arrived on the scene of the largest outage with crews dispatched to smaller outages within the area as well.
No cause has been given for the outages at this time.
