A Jamestown man was charged with DWI after his vehicle went into a ditch in the Town of Ellery. On Friday around 8:53 PM, deputies with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a reported complaint of a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed. Deputies later located the vehicle in a ditch in Ellery. Through investigation, it was determined that the vehicle operator, 50-year-old Frank Hagberg, was allegedly operating while intoxicated. Hagberg was arrested and charged with DWI, moving from lane unsafely, and uninspected motor vehicle. Hagberg was later released with tickets to appear in the Town of Ellery Court at a later date.
