A Ripley man lost his life as the result of a crash between his vehicle and a snowplow in Erie County, Pennsylvania on Saturday. According to Pennsylvania State Police, a Jeep driven by 74-year-old Thomas Dedinsky was traveling north on Route 89 in Greenfield Township shortly after 2:30 PM, when the driver of the southbound snowplow had his vision obstructed due to blowing snow. Troopers say Dedinsky was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger in his vehicle suffered minor injuries. The plow operator, a 19-year-old man, was not injured. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the North East Police Department and two local fire departments. The investigation is ongoing.
