Take Back the Site Vigil planned for October 2024 homicide victim

( WJET/WFXP )– The Benedictines for Peace announced they’re holding their first Take Back the Site Vigil for a City of Erie homicide back in October and are inviting members of the public to join them.

The vigil will be held Thursday, Jan. 16 at 5:15 at the corner of East 26th Street and East Avenue to honor Ledomperignon Eady whose death on October 30 was ruled a homicide.

The Benedictines and members of the community will be gathering to say prayers for anyone harmed by violence and perpetrators.

Take Back the Site vigils are about 15 minutes in length and are held at the site of any deaths in the city and Millcreek ruled as homicides to reclaim the place where violence has occurred.
