Lake Effect Snowband Will Shift North Today, Bitter Cold Continues

A band of heavy lake effect snow has been hammering northern Chautauqua County and southern Erie County since Monday afternoon, making for some very difficult travel. Meteorologist Phillip Pandolfo with the National Weather Service in Buffalo says visibility within the band has ranged from one-quarter of a mile to one-half of a mile.
