Sherman Man Charged in Two Altercations, One with Sheriff’s Deputy

A Sherman man was taken into custody after he got into altercations with two people last Wednesday, including a Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputy. The Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the Town of Sherman at about 1:00 AM to investigate a reported altercation between two individuals, who were uncooperative. One of the individuals — identified as 39-year-old Daryll Thompson, Jr. — allegedly did not cooperate with the investigation and engaged in a physical altercation with one of the responding deputies. Thompson was taken into custody and charged with 2nd-degree obstruction and 2nd-degree assault. He was then transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
