Building fire leaves nine people without a home Sunday

Nine people were displaced after a fire erupted in a second-floor Erie apartment Sunday morning.

That fire took place in the 2100 block of Raspberry Street just after 10 a.m.

According to fire investigators at the scene, when crews arrived, heavy flames could be seen coming from the second floor of the building.

Initially, firefighters attempted to enter the building to combat the blaze head on but they were ordered to pull out after conditions got too dangerous.
