CELORON, New York ( WJET/WFXP )– Two women from Akron were arrested after a lengthy investigation into a drug trafficking operation that culminated in police discovering more than 2 lbs. of meth.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office announced those arrests on Friday as part of a federal and local investigation into meth being moved from Akron, Ohio to the Jamestown, New York area over the course of three years.
Police investigating pair of attempted robberies of buggy drivers
After allegedly receiving a tip about a large amount of meth being moved, police said they stopped a car at a Boulevard Ave. home in Celoron, New York, and later got a search warrant for it.
That search allegedly uncovered more than 2 lbs. of meth in the car, and police took two people into custody.
