HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday has announced legal action against James D. Martin, also known as Doug Martin, and his business, Martin Lawn Services, LLC, for alleged violations of consumer protection laws.
The lawsuit accuses Martin of failing to fulfill home improvement contracts, delivering substandard work, or not performing any services after accepting payment. Additionally, Martin is alleged to have entered into contracts with consumers after his business registration under the Pennsylvania Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act (HICPA) had expired.
Since 2022, Martin has faced at least seven court judgments related to these business practices. He is also currently facing a criminal case in Beaver County on charges of theft and deceptive business practices…
