DUI checkpoints planned in Erie Co. for Easter weekend

( WJET/WFXP )– Pennsylvania State Police in Erie County are once again reminding residents to drive sober with DUI checkpoints set to be held Easter weekend around the county.

PSP Girard announced the sobriety checkpoints along with roving patrols throughout the county for April 18 and 19 on Tuesday.

Rollover crash on I-90/I-86 interchange leaves three injured

Police are reminding residents planning on drinking during the holiday weekend to make sure to designate a sober driver which also includes legal and illegal drugs.

During Easter weekend 2024, PSP investigated 407 crashes resulting in six fatalities and 90 injuries across Pennsylvania and arrested 358 individuals for driving under the influence.
