The Erie Police Department is partnering with UPMC Hamot and UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor to host two local National Drug Take Back Day events this weekend.
Prescription drug collection sites will be located at City Hall the main lobby of UPMC Hamot. Those interested in discarding unused prescription drugs can drop them off at one of the collection sites from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.
Police say the event offers individuals a safe way to dispose of medication. Collection sites will not accept syringes, sharps, or illicit drugs. Liquid products like cough syrup should remain in their original container with the cap tightly sealed…
