Erie City, County clash over tiny homes project holdups

There’s a dispute over whether the county or the City of Erie is slowing an effort to establish tiny homes as transitional housing for the homeless.

Erie County Executive Brenton Davis said the exterior shells and interior frames of 25 tiny homes have been completed.

Those first and second floor components are being transported to the 400 block of East 16th Street. The plan is to put them on the property owned by the county.

However, according to Davis, the city is holding up zoning approvals, and site work is needed to move forward…
