Erie trash sweeps update: most property owners complying, removing junk on their own

Since mid-April, city of Erie code enforcement officials  have issued 187 warning notices to property owners as part of a ramped-up effort targeting large amounts of trash/debris at properties or left along curbsides and/or sidewalks citywide.

But only two of those property owners were assessed a new $1,400 fee for failing to clean up/remove junk within 14 days.
