Spartansburg Scene: The grange is getting a new front porch

Spartansburg Community Foundation (SCF) continues to renovate the former grange. The building was originally a church, built in 1849. Currently, the front steps and parts of the front porch are gone, having been removed a couple of weeks ago, and will be completely rebuilt. It’s exciting to watch the building come back to its former glory (and an improved glory) bit by bit. I don’t know how much longer until the building will be open to the public, but I eagerly await the grand reopening.

Another improvement underway is a small basketball court being installed near the playground and pavilions at Clear Lake. That work is being done by Spartansburg Events…
