Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood Warnings Issued for SE Chautauqua County

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:15 PM and a flash flood warning until 9:15 PM for southeastern Chautauqua County and southern Cattaraugus County. At 5:11 PM, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the area. As much as 2 1/4 inches of rain have fallen, and additional rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are possible. The same storms also have the potential to produce wind gusts up to 60 MPH. Expect damage to roofs, sidings and trees.
