Shrine Club hosts car show and motorcycle run

A local Shrine Club debuted a new event on Sunday, bringing some sweet rides to their building in Millcreek.

The Zem Zem Cycle Corps held their first ever “Clutches for Crutches” fundraiser at their building on W. 38th St., featuring a motorcycle run and car show for people to enjoy.

Several unique cars lined up in the parking lot while vendors set up inside the building.

The money raised during the event will benefit programs with Shriners Children’s Erie.

“We make it our mission to support children who need medical care, regardless of their income,” said Dominic Van Tassell, treasurer of the Zem Zem Cycle Corps. “It helps keep the local people local so that they don’t have to travel far, because those expenses, in addition to the medical care, are way more than any of us really want to think about.”…
