A Westfield man is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail on charges resulting from a domestic dispute with his girlfriend last weekend. Westfield Police responded to a residence on North Portage Street just before 9:30 AM Saturday and spoke with the female, who reported that 41-year-old Xovier Nieves was threatened and physically pushed during a verbal altercation. Police say the incident escalated in the parking lot of the Thruway Holiday Motel, where Nieves allegedly drove a vehicle towards his girlfriend, forcing her to flee on foot. He then drove onto a sidewalk, striking a curb and damaging the vehicle before fleeing the scene.
