Dr. Natalyn Gibbs, the first female and black superintendent of the Erie School District, is already making strides in her new role just two weeks into her tenure.
Dr. Gibbs is focusing on improving communication within the district, which comprises 16 schools and serves approximately 10,000 students daily. She has initiated a series of learning sessions to engage with parents and gather feedback.

“People matter to me, and so I don’t think that we could do any of this work without forming solid relationships, and we’re going to do just that,” said Dr. Natalyn Gibbs, Superintendent of Erie’s Public Schools.
