It was a packed house at the Blasco Library Thursday night as the community came together to learn what it’s like to be black in Erie.
The Erie County Human Relations Commission kicked off a new series this evening called Race, Place and Belonging: Being Black in Erie.

The discussion was moderated by Pastor Ryan Gaines and featured eight local panelists who are black residents and business owners.
The panelists shared their stories about what it’s like being a black person living and working in Erie.
