Jamestown, NY man charged for early morning shooting Thursday

(WJET/WFXP)– Police in Jamestown, NY, have arrested a suspect in connection with an early Thursday morning shooting that left another man seriously injured.

Jamestown police have charged 23-year-old Xavier Ramos of Jamestown for the shooting, which happened just before 1 am Thursday on East 2nd St. near Cheney St. in the City of Jamestown.

Police said they found the victim suffering from several gunshot wounds and were taken to UPMC Chautauqua, then flown to UPMC Hamot, but is expected to survive.
