Erie man sentenced to six years in prison for fentanyl, gun convictions

(WJET/WFXP)– An Erie man has been handed down his sentence in federal court after being convicted of possessing more than 380 grams of fentanyl along with a pair of stolen firearms.

Djimon Johnson, 27, of Erie, was sentenced to 72 months in prison, followed by four years of supervised release on July 24 by Judge Susan Paradise Baxter.

Johnson was arrested during a drug raid in October 2021, where police found 382.61 grams of a mixture containing fentanyl, two stolen pistols, and a 50-round drum magazine.

His sentence will run consecutively to his sentence for violating his parole at the time of his arrest in 2021 for a felony unlicensed firearm conviction.
