(WNY News Now) – A multi-agency investigation in Mayville led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash from a motel room on July 22.
MAYVILLE, NY – A narcotics investigation involving the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department, and Dunkirk Police Department resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a motel located at 115 W. Lake Rd. in the Village of Mayville on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at approximately 2:02 p.m.
The warrant, issued for room 206, was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected narcotics activity. During the search, investigators located Glen Barrett, 49, of Jamestown, NY, and Chelsie Paulk, 35, of Cleveland, OH. A search of the room revealed a significant quantity of illicit substances and weapons.
Seized during the operation were:
- 3 grams of methamphetamine
- 12.3 grams of fentanyl
- 28.6 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
- 62 dosage units of suboxone
- 58 grams of alprazolam
- 0.6 grams of cocaine
- A .22 caliber handgun
- A .38 caliber handgun
- Drug packaging materials, digital scales, and $582 in U.S. currency
Barrett faces multiple charges including:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd and 5th degrees
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd and 2nd degrees
Paulk was charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd and 5th degrees
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree
- Criminal Possession of a Firearm
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree
Both suspects were transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to await arraignment through the Centralized Arraignment Program. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law…
