Erie firefighters rescued a woman from a burning home Monday morning on Erie’s east side.
Calls for that fire going out around 2:30 A.M. Monday in the 700 block of East 7th Street. Bystanders saying the structure went up in what felt like a matter of seconds.
Crews respond to east Erie house fire Friday
According to Deputy Chief Jeff Carroll, when crews arrived on scene, the house was fully engulfed in flames. Carroll saying a woman was trapped on the second floor.
Firefighters made entry into the home and were able to remove her from the building. Officials saying she was transported to UPMC Hamot and was the only person home at the time of the fire. No word on the severity of her injuries.
