Erie’s chief of police confirmed that an Erie man has been charged with robbing a local bank on Friday afternoon.
Erie police responded to an alarm a little after 3 p.m. Friday at the Marquette Savings Bank on Liberty Street.

Police Chief Dan Spizarny said 38-year-old Samuel Dominick allegedly handed a bank employee a note requesting money, then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash before officers arrived.
Dominick was eventually arrested hours later near 18th and Chestnut streets and is currently in the Erie County Prison awaiting trial.
