Lottery customers avoid Mega Millions after price of ticket increases

“What would you do if you won the lottery?” – it’s the age-old question that gets many people wondering.

But lately, some lottery customers have been wondering more about the pay, as the price of a Mega Millions ticket increased from $2 to $5.

“If it was 2 dollars, I feel like it would be okay, like, ‘Okay, let’s just spend this two dollars, it’s not really much and let’s just try our luck,’ but 5 dollars, people will back off like they don’t want to play anymore,” said Sobhi Al-Awady, lottery customer and owner of Brookside Automotive.
