The City of Erie broke ground in the East Bayfront neighborhood on Wednesday, taking a significant step in renewing the area for both residents and visitors.
With the development of the new East Bayfront Greenway Trail, the City of Erie hopes to transform the empty space into a public trail system with bike paths and walking paths. The area will also feature art murals and accessible green space. This is the first step in a series of revitalization projects for the neighborhood.
