Nighttime work set to start on Peninsula Dr. starting at 12th St.

(WJET/WFXP)– Work to improve the Peninsula Drive corridor heading into Presque Isle State Park is moving into its next phase, with nighttime work set to start Sunday evening and is expected to take about three weeks.

Crews will be wrapping up milling and paving from West 12th Street to the Waldameer Drive intersection each night from 6 pm to 4 am, which will require lane restrictions.

Summer construction around the corner, work to begin on Peninsula Dr.

PennDOT said the work will start on Sunday, September 7, and expects the work to take three weeks to finish up.

Dayside work on Peninsula Drive will still be going on, with crews still making improvements to drainage, guiderails and pavement near the park’s entrance…
