WESTFIELD, N.Y. — A Westfield couple has been charged after police said they abandoned their dog inside their former residence without food or water.
The Westfield Police Department issued appearance tickets on Aug. 30 to Angel Travis and George Travis following an investigation into animal abandonment and the issuance of an arrest warrant out of the Town of Westfield Court.
Officers responded to the couple’s former home earlier in the month after neighbors and the property owner reported the pair had not been seen in several days. Police said a dog was left inside the home during that time…
