Night time work to patch I-90 starting this weekend

(WJET/WFXP)– Drivers who usually take Interstate 90 in the evenings should expect lane restrictions and slowdowns with patching work set to start at the end of this coming weekend as part of an $18 million project.

PennDOT announced Wednesday that they’re planning on doing patchwork on I-90 between Exits 22 A/B (Interstate 79) to Exit 35 (Route 531/Depot Road, Harborcreek) from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday nights to Friday mornings.

PennDOT announces three major projects, work set to begin in September

Work is set to start the evening of Sunday, September 14, with PennDOT adding that they expect the work to take about three weeks.

In light of the planned work and slowdowns resulting from construction on the Beckman Road Bridge over Interstate 90 in Girard, PennDOT is encouraging drivers to use 511PA and other GPS systems to stay informed abou t the daily location of crews.
