93 workers affected by Absolut Care closure

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Absolut Care in Chautauqua County will be closing on Oct. 20, the facility announced in August.

Last week, the facility, which is located at 26 Cass St. in Westfield, posted a WARN notice to New York State’s Department of Labor website announcing that 93 workers will be affected by the closure.

The move comes just over a year after the union reached a two-year agreement with the facility, in addition to three other Absolut Care facilities, located in Allegany, East Aurora, and Orchard Park, which remain open. Of the four facilities, the Westfield, Allegany, and East Aurora locations underwent a change in ownership last year…
