Erie Irish Festival concludes with record attendance

The Erie Irish Festival wrapped up this weekend in with record-breaking attendance, according to event organizers. The festival, hosted annually by St. Patrick’s Church, serves as both a fundraiser for the parish and a celebration of nearly 200 years of Irish tradition.

The festival, held in front of the historic St. Patrick’s Church, attracted visitors from all over. Due to high anticipation, the event opened early on Friday, and officials reported a record turnout on Saturday. The festival featured a variety of traditional Irish foods, such as shepherd’s pie, Reubens, and Irish stew, which were nearly sold out by the end of the weekend.

Vickie Lampe, a volunteer at the festival, expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “we had a great time. we had wonderful bands. the entertainment is awesome. people come from all over Northwest PA.”…
