Grove City College was the latest target of a swatting call, but it’s something campus security officials prepare for.
Les Fetterman, Director Campus Police and Safety for Gannon University said, “You do have to respond like it’s real. You can’t be thinking in the back of your mind, is this a false call? So we are going to respond directly to the threat and try and stop the threat if there is a threat.”
Safety officials take these matters seriously when they respond to the incident. But it doesn’t just stop at the school, often times, other law enforcement and community partners get involved to make sure the threat is handled.
It’s a team effort to make sure the threat is taken care of in an appropriate manner….
